A production by P4 at Strathpeffer Primary
In art with Mrs Tonkin, we were working in groups of 4. 1 person drew the background of land and sky, while others made the pictures to stick onto the background . They could draw people, kitchen areas, barrels, boats, fires, sheep in a pen, dogsand fish gettintg smoked over the fires. We could draw anything you find in a Viking Village
These pictures were cut out and glued on to cardboard before being glued to the background This gave a 3D effect

On friday Laura came and all the classes had a session of Global Rhythms. We worked with Primary 5.
We did all sorts of different dances.
One of them was the American dance. It was like a street dance. It was good fun.
We hope she comes again soon.

Last Friday it was very snowy. Our problem solving was ‘which group could build the tallest snow pillar’!!
We got into groups and planned what we were doing. Everyone enjoyed themselves! This is a better way of doing problem solving!
Mrs Thomson said we were all winners because we all worked well in our groups and had smiling faces and rosy cheeks!
We hope you like the photos.

Our class is raising money for UNICEF Day of Change on Friday 6th February. We are having a no uniform day, plus a baking stall.
Our mums have been asked to provide baking and we have to donate £1 if we wear casual clothes instead of school uniform.
Primary 4 are telling the whole school at assembly tomorrow.

UPDATE:-
We had a good Assembly and told everyone about the UNICEF Day of change. Everyone wore casual clothes and there was lots of baking.
Altogether we raised £200.25. It was a fantastic amount!!
Thank you to everyone who brought money.

At Strathpeffer we can put used mobile phones into a Blythswood Charity Recycling box, which is emptied regularly.
Mobile phones are recycled to be reused. Redundant phones are processed then passed on to developing markets such as China, Africa, Pakistan and India. Another good thing is that phones help in improving and developing communications in these economies. Obsoletes and duds are passed on to specialist recyclers. These people are environmenty friendly and responsible. They dismantle every part safely – including every bit from the battery – for re-use in industry.
